Nepal has been ravaged by a decade-long civil war that has left more than 10,000 orphans in its wake.
The Kumari project was set up to take kids off the street and give them somewhere safe to live.
A “safe house” opened in October 2014 as a refuge for 3 girls and is now the home to 12 children.
The Kumari project also includes an education & arts programme, which provides schooling and extracurricular lessons on art, music and dance taught by local artists to over 50 boys and girls. Besides the children get a healthy diet, hot meals and free healthcare in partnership with community doctors.
